I am 6' 4" and am wondering do I need to get special length clubs or will regular clubs work for me. I am new to the game and am not sure.
Club size for a tall guy

you may be tall, but are your hands tall from the ground also? I would suggest a fitting. While its entirely possible to make regular clubs fit, it is not so easy to make them fit the swing plane thats best for you, or even really understand your swing via the written word. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful, but you need some baseline workups realworld style so you dont end up hitting bad shots because of a bad fit. You will have enough to do with your swing work.
I'm 6'-3" and learned (after a proper fitting) that I needed clubs that were a bit longer and a bit more upright than standard. That may be true for you or it may not.
A fitting is the only way to know.
Ditto with the above.
I'm 6'4", played with a set of my Dad's (5'10") old clubs for year or so, really struggled (pretty whippy graphite shafts probably didn't help either!). Got fitted, went with an inch over and 4 degrees upright, also had the grips fattened up quite a bit which I've found has made it a lot more comfortable to hold/swing a club in the 100+ strokes it still takes me to get around the course!
I'm also 6'4". My clubs are +1/2" longer and 2 degrees upright. There are a number of variables that affect the length and lie combination that will fit you best.
To figure out what you need you are going to have to get fit. If you want a rough starting point the ping static fitting system is pretty good way to get a starting point. I play ping irons and for me what their system suggested was dead on.
I'm 6'6" and although I play +1, when I use the PING online fitting system they constantly switch their recommendation between 1, 1/2, and 0. So there definitely is some breathing room too.
