!  HA HA HA HA HA!

Congrats to the Canadian teams. They play better when it counted.  Now the men have to beat the Swedes.

Lol.. I would take bieber over free drop any day.

The commercial for these Omni underground bunkers makes me laugh. Who buys these things?

Note the times and scores. Hockey medal hopes slipping away for our men.

Well, if it takes any of the sting out keep in mind that Finland has a very strong team. Their only loss, IIRC, has been to Canada and it was no cake walk. People like to think Canada, USA and Russia are the only teams with a realistic chance in these competitions but both Sweden and Finland have proven time and time again that they are serious contenders.

I hope Team Canada doesn't take Sweden too lightly tomorrow because they have some serious game.

Finland was the better team today.   It really is a sad state of affairs when the team captain in an interview said that the USA team didn't show up against Canada and then after the first Fin goal had a major let down.   Time for a different coach and mind set.

He USA team was ran out of the building. At least we are 1 day closer to NYR hockey resuming. 👍

Bars across the country were ridiculous this morning. Game started at 8 am on the east coast and 4 am on the west. Restaurants and bars either stayed open or opened up early for the game. What an atmosphere!

And which bar were you in @Foursum Golf ?

Overtime Sports Bar! Too early for beer for me though. :-)

I was pretty well behaved yesterday morning.. stuck with water. I think they were selling beer for $2.25 though, so as you can imagine, most of the patrons were getting into it!

Really disappointing show by USA in the bronze game.

I'm surprised to see that USA has only won the gold twice--1960 and 1980.  Interestingly from 1956 to 1988, those are the only years that Russia did not win the gold.  Here's a pretty cool site with all the medals won during all the winter olympics:  http://graphics.latimes.com/winter-olympics/

Looks like USA came in 2nd in total medals (to Russia) and 4th in gold.  Canada had more gold and silver, but fewer bronze.

Why are you surprised?  For decades, the Russians had a pro team to everyone else's amateur teams.  When they all went pro, my money was on Canada every time because they have more good players in the NHL than any other country.  If you have better players, you should have a very good chance of winning the gold.

I'm glad the Olympics are over.  I enjoyed them, but most of those sports are stupid and now I don't have to care about them or watch them again for another 4 years. :-P

Sure, it makes sense.  I just had never thought much about it as almost all of that was before I was born.
