TST Mid-Atlantic Outing - Page 5

I know I am late to the dance but let me know if you set up another after May 1. I have signed up for a lot of VSGA one day events and am always amenable to playing at Laurel Hills in Lorton, VA.

I'm not sure what the latest count is, but I might be able to get a friend to join us on the 6th if there's still room.

They won't let me make a tee time until Sunday morning.  Pro Shop said the tee sheet is wide open that day, which I guess means there aren't any tournaments or large group outings, and that we shouldn't have any problem getting on (with 8) at 9am on April 6 if I call him next Sunday.

So I'll call again on Sunday morning and post back here when its confirmed.  I'll probably grab 2 tee times, though it looks like we're down to 4.

I think its fine if anyone wants to bring a friend or relative.  Just let me know.

Thanks for the effort, Dan!  I'm still a go here, and I look forward to the outing.

I've played Bulle Rock last year and that place was great.  I did not pay cuz it was a company event but I know it's pricey as in north of $100.  I am willing to do it though because the course was in as good of shape as Congressional, Caves Valley, or Four Streams.

I've also played Worthington Manor as well and unfortunately it is usually not in that great of condition but is a great layout and fun course.

not sure if you've read thru the whole thread...

we decided on the timbers at troy. bulle rock was a bit too far/pricey to get the most participants possible. Are you planning on going Apr 6?

Thanks guys.  Someone post here Sunday to make sure I don't forget to call.  I turned 30 this past Sunday and my memory is starting to go on me.

Would be great if we could get eight. See everybody there. Hope to get to the range with the nice weather this week, but it looks slightly cooler for the weekend. Cross fingers for decent weather! Thanks for the effort, Dan. Appreciated

Sorry I have been a little out of touch lately.

If you still have room I can play Sunday.

We do have room,@kregan. See you there!

Let's try to fill up the other three spots. Does anyone have any friends that might be interested?

Also, what do we want to play? Stroke play is probably easiest, any other ideas?

What's everyone's current handicap? I'm at 11.9 currently.

Hey all, I'm up for it. Is there room in the group? Standard published rates?

Extended forecast is clear and cool with a high of 57, so a chilly morning. Perfect golf weather :)

Clear on Saturday too, so conditions should not be overly soggy.

I'm a 24, but I won't hold anyone up.

Welcome, @Oldblu3, we do have room.  I think the rate is $65.

So far it looks like:

1. dsc123, 11.9

2. @divot dave (HC?)

3. @jsgolfer 4.9

4. @RandallT 11.3

5. @kregan 15.4

6. @0ldblu3 24

So I'd say we play from the blue tees, stroke play, using a handicap allowance of 80%.  How does that sound?

The black tees are 73.5/138/6652 while the blue are 70.8/134/6148.

Looking at their website now, they have a link that says "Aerification Discount Rates 3/24 to 4/6" that redirects to the winter rates of $50.  Looking again at the online booking, it shows $50 a round, not $65.  Its frustrating that the pro shop didn't mention that when I called.

Hey guys, I can bring one more person along too if there is still room. Not a forum member, but avid golfer, would fit in fine.

Call him @JakeStateFarm

Call him @JakeStateFarm
Only if he wears his khakis. I believe we have at least 2 slots open for our 8, but Dan is the man to confirm. I'd tentatively tell Jake he's invited.

See everybody there!
