Hyo-Joo translates her head back on the BS where as Ha-Neul doesn't as much until later near the top of the BS. But on the downswing, Ha-Neul's head moves away from the target more so than Hyo-Joo's moved on the backswing. Hyo-Joo's impact actually looks better than Ha-Neul, which looks more "flippy" than Hyo-Joo's? Am I correct, or way off? I have no clue who these players are - found this in my YT recommended vids. Google knows me all too well.

I would qualify Ha-Neul's head as steady and Hyo-Joo does re-center it by A4.5. Camera angle is also too far in front of them, some head rotation will make it look like it translates more than it actually does.

Remember with a driver the head can translate a little more than with a mid iron. Golfers tend to set up with more axis tilt, ball is teed up, shoulders turn a slightly flatter due to those differences.

Mike, are you using the word 'translate' to mean 'move'? Or move in a particular direction?

Translate basically means slide. It moves to a different location, whereas the other type of movement is just rotation.

I'm not even sure that the camera is too far ahead. I think both might have the ball back farther than normal and thus feel the need to shift back a bit so they can hit up slightly.

Also, what @Golfingdad said: translate is more specific than "move."

You can move, but not translate. If you translate, you must move.
