I am curious if we have any multi-lingual TST members here.  Tell us about your language skills.

For me, I would say 1 and 1/2.  English and Spanish.  I took it in High School and remember a lot, but I don't use it enough.  I can read it pretty well and when traveling, I can pick it up quickly.  I do have trouble when it is spoken quickly or if it heavy on local dialect (i.e., PR Spanish versus Dominican Rep. Spanish, etc.).

I lived in Argentina for 3 years as a child. No longer fluent in Spanish, but conversant, and it comes back quickly.

Tagalog is similar to Spanish that's being spoken by a drunk that doesn't speak it very well to begin with! ;-)

Obviously. If you spoke it, you'd know it to be "igpay atinlay" ;) I speak English somewhat fluently, and that's about it. ;) Took a lot of Spanish in high school but didn't ever really speak it. Went to Russia once and picked up the alphabet to the point if being able to read and pronounce Cyrillic words - didn't retain that either. Learned as much italian as I could to speak it on our honeymoon ... Then everybody there spoke English. So English is all I got. :(

Close to 100% bilingual in French and English. My written French is a little shaky but I speak it well enough to be considered more or less fluent.

I speak English, Afrikaans and a bit of Xhosa -- which sounds approximately like this in combination.

I speak German and Korean (lived in Korea for 6 years so you kind of have to learn), a wee bit of Spanish and Tagalog. Now my wife is another story, She was born in Portugal grew up in Spain, went to HS in Germany so she speaks Portuguese(Spanish), French, German, Italian. She can chew me out in so many different languages I don't stand a chance.

English and some Spanish. I took six years of HS Spanish (one of the few redeeming factors of my middle school was that they offered HS Spanish starting in 7th grade; I wasn't held back or anything). However, I've only been to a Spanish speaking country once since starting graduate school nearly a decade ago, and it eventually did come back. That trip was Spain in 2011 (I went for a conference). A colleague of mine and I went to a Chinese restaurant on the first night we were there. The hostess spoke Spanish (and mine wasn't fully coming back yet, at least to speak) and Chinese; I was able to understand what she was saying, and was able to determine what I wanted to order from the menu, but I couldn't get the words out except in English. So my colleague translated into Chinese, from which the hostess would respond in Spanish, to me. It was like playing telephone with our order (which came out well).

English (American), German, Spanish.

+0.25 for French (enough to confuse a French train ticket agent!)

I failed Scots last summer (fortunately, had my son to translate).  Ach, nooo!

I wonder if any one else can understand the spam coming from the ME? If not then I'm the only one here who can speak Arabic? Maybe?

Spanish: Una cerveza, por favor.

Italian: Un birra, per favore.

English: Gimme a Bud.

So, fluent in 3 languages.

Some French but not really good enough any more. Learning British Sign Language - does that count? Ran away from languages as a kid as soon as I could (wanted to spend more time on science) but wish I'd learnt more. Would like to pick some up now but never seem to find the time to do it.
