Men wearing women's golf clothes - Page 2

My wife and I both own a nice looking hooded Izod golf windbreaker, the kind that folds up into its own pocket. Mine is red, hers is khaki. I sometimes borrow hers. It fits me a bit tighter because it is a size M mine is a Large.   They are both men's jackets or gender neutral I guess. I suppose my answer to your question is: I won't wear golf clothes designed specifically for women.

Just buy it for your wife and you can still enjoy looking at it. Be glad that the salesperson saved you from buying it for yourself.

Do what you gotta do, but don't be surprised if your buddies tear into you every chance they get.

"Great, the guy wearing women's clothes is beating me"

"Hit it with your purse"

Just say no.

Don't dip your shoulder so low, I dunno if it'll help your swing but it'll keep yer purse from sliding off.:-D

"Damn, my tee broke.. can you toss me one?"

'Shoulda worn your matching fanny pack, I'm sure there's some in there.

This has turned into a painful thread...

The most painful part is that my buddy's wife used that fanny pack line on him... She's pretty competitive.

"Hope you didn't break a nail on that one"

Dragon - if you like it and it fits, go for it. If anyone breaks your balls, just tell them you're man enough to wear whatever the hell you want

I wouldn't, just because, well it's for women. I can hear it now. You hit a putt that's too short " Don't forget your purse."

I just believe that there are so many options out there that I'm sure you'll be able to find something in the mens section. But if you really like and you don't care, why not?

Hey you could wear worse things while on the fairway, like flip flops.

Can we just have a sub forum for women only?

then people can talk about jewelry, watches, sunglasses and cargo shorts over there.  (and how expensive their cars are and how hot their girlfriends are too)

The guy on the course that can eyeball a jacket and tell that it's made for women is probably wearing women's clothing himself.  I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. If I see a guy wearing a jacket with "contrast" designs on the front that accentuate hips/chest to that of a silhouette of a woman, it's fairly obvious he's wearing his wife's coat. I wouldn't say anything to them because it's not my place or my business, but I will sure as hell get a little laugh out of it.

Can also tell because the zipper is on the wrong side.

In addition to golf, my other big hobbie is shooting sporting clays (shooting clay discs with a shotgun)

I use a belt pouch to carry my shotgun shells.

I needed a warm vest for winter shooting and all men's vests reached too far down, getting in the way of my shell pouch.

I needed a vest that would fit my torso but would only extend down to my belt line.

Bingo, a large size women's vest. Nobody seems to notice, and if they do I don't care.

Most of my jeans and pants are womens. I also have a rainjacket from Peak Performance who is women large size. Dont care and most people do not notice it.
