Its always good to see your self on camera and have a pro look at your swing ... So, I took a lesson today ... It wasn't pretty ...
I'm a midcapper, who just recently figured out how to swing a golf club properly = descending blow = accuracy and distances are much better now.
But, I noticed on video the following:
Bent left arm on impact = adding loft to the club & no lag = losing yardage (not that I need help with distance)
Driver backswing = too long / 6-8 inched past parallel
Swing speed: averaged 110 with driver with a few 115's thrown in. I've been playing a stiff shaft / They recommended X-Flex
My questions to you guys are the following:
What drill can i do to help create lag & keeping my left arm straight at impact?
Is x-flex really the way to go?
Best bay to help shorten backswing? - I've tried for years to make my swing more compact and bring the club to parallel but I just cant do it ..
