Golf Specific Drills

One of the many things I like about golf is the practice. I expect continuous improvement every time I play. The range is a great place to practice but I don't think it is enough repetitions to groove the moves. I use the range to develop drills I can use at home and then practice those drills. Currently what I am doing is 50 repetitions each every day: 1) Orange whip hitting a rubber tee. 2) 3 iron impact drill also hitting a lower tee. I rotate about my left hip while holding the club in impact position. 3) 3 iron full swing hitting a tee. 4) Chipping swings at a low tee. 4) Putter keep my legs as stable and still as possible, rotate only the shoulders about the spine trying to perform a perfect pendulum motion while keeping the putter aligned as straight as possible. After the drills I jog 2 miles.  Drills are dynamic and I am always testing new ones, the drills may be different next month but these are the ones that have evolved so far and they seem to work. Every time I play I feel more confident and get better good to bad shot ratio's. Does any one else use golf specific drills and what are they?

Welcome the The Sand Trap! Lots of great info here including drills and ways to practice more efficiently. Take look at the "swing thoughts" forum, great stuff in there too.

You should probably set yourself up with an avatar before the Mods do. They can be a little sadistic with the assigned avatars.;-)
