Shaft weight difference from Driver, 3wood, hybrid?

Posting here for the first time... I am a mid handicap and have never swung a non-stock club. Getting more and more into the consistant golf game I am now venturing out to find out how to make my equipment work better for me personally. Everything I have researched on shaft weight differs so much. Currenty all Callaway woods and hybrids Razr Hawk Driver R flex, Razr X 3w S flex, Razr X hybrid (3 & 4) S flex. My main question here for this thread is: Are they all supposed to be 60g shafts? Every club is 60g weight and from what I have read the most common setups are 60-73g driver/79-89g fairway woods/95g+ hybrids....... can I get some real feedback on this? I have a 96 SS and carry the ball 250 on drives. Thanks everybody.

You have to try different shafts at a range or clubmaker witch can messure your rpm, backspin, swing speed and things like that. The shafts matters a lot for the feel. Also the the driver and 3 wood have different weights so you do not need to have the same shaft weight in booth om them. There are many factors to take into account, the best you can do is use an hour to do a real fitting. Maybe try 5 different shafts and pick the ones that gives you the best results.

My driver shaft is 73 grams XS flex, when I tested XS flex 10 grams lighter I got more clubhead speed. With this I tought that more clubhead speed equaled more distance. And yes it did, 5 meters more, but with the 73 gram I got less backspin and was driving the ball longer all over with roll... But this numbers can be different if I try another shaft brand with different kickpoint.

For me the most important thing is the feeling. When I was hitting my drive I feelt that I needed a heavier shaft for a whole season. When I finaly tried it was perfect.

A friend of mine was the opposite, he feelt that it would be better with a lighter shaft. All this said the distance loss or gain never matters if the shafts feels to heavy or light. I never tought about the shaft weights and different types before I reached 5 hcp, only the flex.

You mean 96 mph swingspeed and 250 yards carry?
