In 6 more months my son will have his 1st birthday and aside from all the toys I'm sure he's likely to get...I'd like to get him a nice lightweight short putter. Even if he never uses it...or if he uses it destructively and I have to take it away...it's still something I really want him to have.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking something around 15". I noticed most toddler putters are still around 28" which I think is ridiculous because an average putter size for adults are usually 34".

I've seen really short ones.  I had one less than 20 inches when my son and God kids were little.  I found it at Play it Again Sports.  Check places like that if you have them in your area.  the putter head was smaller too.

I think that's where Robert Garigos got his little putter. Or maybe it was Toys Are Us. (Just joking).

Crim - I got my daughter a plastic set ($3 at Walmart) when she was 1. She couldn't really do more than just wildly swing at furniture, toys, legs, etc. until she was 3. At that point I picked up a real kids set, and it wasn't until this past winter that she could make contact consistently (she turns 5 in a month). Every kid is different, but my experience was that a plastic or Nerf set is the way to go when they're that little.
