So just wanted to hear some feedback on thoughts about Cleveland's shaft offering. I did like the traction shafts but just wondering how they match up to say s300 or other stock shaft offerings.

In January, I got to hit the Cleveland TT irons in with the stock TRAction shaft. The raw shaft starts out at 85 grams uncut both R and S flex - midlaunch and probably medium tip..

The iron TT stands for Tour Trajectory, a lower ball flight, but I was able to hit the ball fine with an R.flex. It felt rather light, however.

Which clubhead model you chose would influence how well it worked for you. The DG S300 would be about 127 grams uncut - quite a bit heavier - and, has a low launch and firm tip.

I would suggest you find iron models you like, and try the heads with different shafts. Use launch monitor data to narrow down the field, then make your final choice based on feel.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Oh I live the MT irons I ordered just can't find any reviews on the shafts. Just won seeing if anyone had anything good to say about them. I like the feel and the shafts. I just like to know as much as I can about my equipment.

I'd pull a grip off and look at it. I have the TT irons and I've ordered a couple of Altitudes direct from Cleveland. All came with shafts etched CG16 100g but were banded TR85. I switched to KBS a while ago but I liked the stock shafts well enough, whatever they were.

    • I agree with @pganapathy about removing some clubs. I would recommend removing the 2, 3, 4 and 5 irons for now. Play with Driver 3W 5W 3H 5H 6 iron 7 iron 8 iron 9 iron PW ( you don’t have listed) 52 56 Putter Th 60 wedge can be difficult for new players, but you could keep that If your 3H is adjustable, increased the loft to be more like a 4H. Play with these on course and see if you can get a feel of the actual yardages for each club and especially the gaps between them. It may take 10 or more rounds. A par 3 course is helpful for determining the gaps in the irons and some woods too. A device like a Shot Scope H4 can really help give you your actual yardage on course.
