I hit both at a launch monitor today. I was hitting the 6 irons the exact same- 175-180 with a slight draw. The are the same cost, and I have heard great things about both of them. What would you guys recomend?

Both stunning. I guess it comes down to your visual preference. I prefer the look of the Titleist clubs but its a personal thing. Taylor Made Tp's have slightly shorter shafts than the Titleists on the 3,4 and 5 irons I think.

I went throught the same thing. However, I came down to the 775cb and the r7. I just liked the look and feel of th 775 more. Both were great clubs, but I just felt better over the Titleist. It will take a damn good iron to get these out of my hands now.

Around here the 755's are 750$ hence making them a better deal IMO, before you get either one try out the MX-25's I've heard great stuff about them

Whats your handicap, and how good of a ball-striker are you? im just trying to figure out because i hit the 6 iron, and was wondering if it was hard to hit the 3 and 4 irons

I'm currently stuck at around 12, and i would consider myself a pretty good ball striker though i have my fair share of troubles every now and then when my swing gets too loose. I hit my 6 iron about 175 with a tiny fade, but i dont have too much trouble with the 4 iron. That being said as you can see in my bag i replaced the 3 iron with a hybrid, off the tee the 3 iron is OK but off the ground it requires a solid swing every time. Overall though ive never had any problems with forgiveness in my r7's, when they are mis hit the results suffer, but not tremendously. Awesome set of irons imo~~btw the project x shafts fit them really well.

simple answer.....
R7 TPs.....unless of course you like being severely punished on mishits....yes they can work the ball both ways both if you are a little off...which I bet you are unless you are scratch ...the R7 TPs will cover up for the mishits a lot better.....
I used to play Titleist 735CM and don't miss the titleist at all...Titleist irons in general feel very harsh compared to other forged clubs like Mizuno....
the only advantage for the Titleist is the long irons...boy are they easy on the Titleist sets...

hope this helps

r7 tps
that being said, i've never hit the titleist ones. the r7 tp's are nice, you're definitely going to be able to shape shots and the forgiveness is great. I have the regular r7's and they're sick (but I've obviously tried the tp's to be able to comment on them)

When I get my handicap below 18, I think I just may treat myself to the 775's.

They look and play awsome!

so a little update here. i went to a golf shop, and they have the TM r7 tp's used, and the callaway x-forged used. The callaways are $600, and the TM irons are $670. Unfortunately, they dont have the titleist 755's used, so im either going to go with the callaways or the TM's. The callaways have the project x 6 flighted as shafts, and the TM's have the project x 6.5 as shafts.

To recap, I am around a 12 handicapper, but my ball-striking skills are the same as someone with about a 6-9 handicap. i also dont mishit the ball too much with my irons, but i still want something semi-forgiving. which ones should i go with?
