What is everyones hopes for today?

A bunch of big names at the top of the leaderboard?  A young gun running away with it?  A new comer charging hard?

Ugh. I really dislike this dude.

I'm onboard with stopping concussions, but this dude and the NFL are so hypocritical.

Looking forward to Bill Haas and his play today, plus Adam Scott, though as previously stated, Brandel's got that covered.

I really hope Stricker and Els play well. Hopefully Bubba falls to the wayside. Just don't like his pissy attitude - especially to his caddy.

Really hoping that Phil and Ernie can find a way to make the cut.

There is a Mequon Wisconsin amateur playing The Masters who is making the local paper, he shot an 81 yesterday, Niebrugge. It will be interesting to see if he makes the cut.

My pick in the driver contest here is currently sitting at +1, will have to watch his scores today.

My pick in the driver contest is at home with his feet up :hmm:

Faldo just said he saw the pins for today and said they are tough again today.

Are those posted anywhere for us to see?

Yeah, but that secret was so controversial on this board a few months ago.

You're too kind to him. Ugh, he's an ANGC member? Sometimes life isn't fair.

If Bill Haas wins, would that be the first pair of relatives to win the Masters? I can't think of any other pair offhand, but I feel I'm missing something obvious. I don't think Bubba and Tom Watson are related...

I'm rooting for Stricker and Woodland, slightly more so if no one else has selected them in the pool. I've given up hope of my #1 pick winning.

Like I said earlier, I think the greens would be the killer. The pros had a lot of trouble chipping it close yesterday and I noticed that there were so many 5 foot slippery second putts for par. If the course was set up like this, I think amateurs would lose a LOT of strokes around the green.

I kept seeing on number 11 I believe in the beginning of Amen corner that when people don't go for the green they try to leave it right on the long par 4.  Why would they do that? It leaves them a downhill pitch without much chance of spinning it and getting close.  Why not lay up to like 50 or 60 out so you can stop it right next to the hole?  Idk, could just be me...

Maybe we can get the Big Easy to take out his knees with a cut block!

Live feed is up ... masters.com ... for Amen Corner so far at least.

The pin on 12 is in the dead center of the green.  Where I roughly estimate the green to be about 11 inches deep. :bugout:

I was thinking yesterday for the ceremonial tee shots.....if the time comes when Tiger is old, and they ask him to be a part of it......would he be the type of guy who would? Or do you think ocne he retires he is off the radar and not to be bothered by anyone?

interesting strategy - but those 50 yd downhill wedge shots on at tight lie also give them a difficult time - I think they'd rather have Larry Mize's shot.

Say the afternoon players will find it tougher when Greens dry up. Even par will be good score today in my opinion.

Your second guess.  I can't imagine a 70 year old tiger walking around do ceremonial stuff.
