Welcome to TST. I think you will get a lot of technical golf help as there are lots of knowledgeable people here. 6 hours round trip is quite a long haul for a 15 year old.

Try the first tee in Orlando. You might even be able to help teach some of the classes as you play with this group. The rates are very good, and they have a support system of instructors who donate their time.

I agree with Lihu - You will find a large population of helpful and knowledgable golfers on this website. I don't know much about the golfing community in Orlando, but I will offer you this advice - In future posts, try to use punctuation (most importantly, periods). It is very difficult to interpret an entire post written like that and you will likely get a lot more responses when writing in an understandable manner.

I take it you're not a fan of Herman Melville?

Where do you live in Orlando?  There are a TON of courses around here, many of which have junior membership options.

I live in lake Mary about 30 -40 minutes away from downtown

I live in Lake Mary.

Some ideas.....

Try Mayfair or Magnolia Plantation.  Neither is in very good shape, but should have junior memberships fairly inexpensive.  Wekiva and Eagle Dunes are two other courses, both in better shape than either Mayfair or Magnolia and are less than 20 minutes from Lake Mary with good practice facilities.  Dubsdread, down by Winter Park.....probably 15 minutes away, has an annual Junior membership for only $750.

Hey David...I'm a newbie(I believe this is my 3rd post). You live close to me...I'm in Winter Park area. If I was still a 7, I would ask you if I could join you sometimes to play 18(I'm a complete horse$hit hacker right now!)... I don't know many people in the Orlando area and would like to meet some guys to golf with. I had a long winded post on my intro thread, explaining I haven't really played since moving to Orlando area 3 years ago. I'm getting back to practicing though.

Haha - Well I would consider over-punctuation better than none at all. By no means are my grammar and punctuation always correct, but I try! Anyway, I am not familiar with that one, but it seems that it is not what you'd call a "light" read!
