Choosing the correct shaft

Hello everyone, I am a long hitter with high swing speed. I hit the ball very high and want to start hitting the ball lower. I am currently hitting a Proforce V2 75 G x stiff shaft in my driver and X100's in my irons. Any tips for shafts I should try to start hitting the ball lower?

You already have some pretty stout shafts. X100's are pretty low launching. V2 is a medium launch, but it is a heavy shaft, stiff flex, that promotes lower spin. So, it should be a pretty good fit for a high swing speed. My only other option would be go get fitted by a professional fitter who has a launch monitor. This way you can see data. Do you know off hand how high do you hit your shots?

Other than that, I would check your swing. Create a my swing thread, http://thesandtrap.com/f/4180/member-swings here, and post a video. You might be doing something like early releasing slightly that adds loft.

I don't know off hand how high I hit it no. Much much higher than normal. I play in the Midwest where wind is always a factor. I lose a lot of strokes from my high shots tailing off target. But thank you for the advice! Do you know off hand and low launch driver shafts?

      Day 55: 4/18/2024 Got to the range again today. Planned to do my priority pieces and then hit targets with irons. But after my priority pieces I hit a few drives and tugged them all hard left. .... Uh... oh boy.  So, I spent about a half hour trying to hit targets at the range with my driver.
