Health issues: need Fitness and Diet help - Page 2

Tiger Woods said that in his opinion only Moe Norman and Lee Trevino 'owned their swings'.  Somehow you must learn to 'own your body' and resist the push and pull of society/commercial interests.  One school of food thought says for health we should eat 30 different foods each day.

Snickers, M/Ms , peanuts, corn chips...whatever you can name, are not evil, sinful or illegal even if foolish.. But why do they call us so loudly?

I fully agree that, unlike smoking which is totally optional in life, eating is fundamental.  Everyone must eat. The vast majority eat as mother showed us, just as we learned to speak as mother showed us. Sometimes mothers make mistakes and the kids learn poor life lessons. It's no crime. I learned from mom,  that sweet is GOOD. So today i am deeply tempted by the chocolate display at Walgreens. 'Thanks mom, but i'm gonna pass today.  Maybe tomorrow i will

have a Malt O Ball'

So to the OP, each day, each meal, each temptation will speak your name. What will be your response? One data point does not make a habit but moving your mind away from the habits of the past will open the window to a new and reflective outlook on food intake.

Hi. Just like you, I used to not be physically active, and was searching for answers to get my health back. I was happy with my golf game, but knew it could get much better if I were to make some better choices when it came to health. Well I decided to do something about it. A little over 2 1/2 years ago I weighed 270 pounds. I was miserable, lacked self discipline, and so many of areas of my life were affected because I was so overweight.

Here I am today. I have lost 85 pounds and am in the best shape of my life. I am now a scratch golfer and frequently shoot under par. I couldn't believe the difference health and fitness made in my golf game in such a short amount of time. Well now I'm trying to pay it forward to other people and golfers just like you.

P90X was my saving grace. It literally saved my life. To this day I have never counted a single calorie. I lost weight the old fashioned way. Hard work and better food choices. No fast food, only clean, wholesome, healthy meals.

Being a better golfer because of it is certainly a nice take away, but it literally changed every aspect of my life for the better. I am here to support and motivate people just like you to achieve the same fitness, health, and weight loss goals that I never thought were possible. It is possible, and I'm here to help.

good luck to you and hope to talk soon!!

keep em in the fairway,

Seth
