I have a set of Ping G25 irons which I purchased with 2 wedges, a 45 degree PW & 50 degree U.  In the G25 line Ping offers a 54 SW & 58 LW.

What would you all recommend if I wanted to round out my selection?

Thanks

My clubs also have a 45pw and 50aw, I went with a cleveland 56 sw, lived it! and then got a 62 lw I'd say you want nice even gaps of either 4, 5 or 6 degrees, I keep thinking I'll get my my 56 tweaked to 55 and my 62 to 60, to keep the gaps of 5*! but I'm used to them now! I wouldn't worry too much about a lob wedge for now, but concentrate on getting a good sand wedgeto suit you! I find, for me, it's a really important and much used club!

I think it's important not to have a large gap between PW and the gap, my PW is 47 so I start the wedge set with 50 so theres no shot where one seems too close but the other too far. I followed that with 54 and 58.  With the short game being so crucial, I agree with the theory that you want confidence that you have a wedge for all the short ranges and no large gaps in distance control.

I have a full set of G25 irons and use everyone of them, they are great.

The reason I went this way to keep the swing weight and look the same no other reason.

My son plays Vokey's my father in law plays Cleveland, if you like the G25's and they work for you then get them.

Sounds like a good 4-wedge system adding the 54 and 58 from Ping.  Pretty sure my set has the 45 and 50 "A-Wedge" and I added a 54 and 58 Vokey to my set a couple of seasons back.

You can EASILY turn the 58* into whatever you want by simply opening the face.  This is my 'go-to' wedge for most shots around the green.  Need more loft for a lob?  Open face.  It's now a 64* wedge.

Add them to your set.  You'll likely improve your short game with the extra tools.

If you have 45* through 58* from G25, they will be matched as far as feel and yardage gaps. If you are able to hit them well, it should work. Also, four G25 wedges will require less practice to coordinate than a mix of wedge models, or going with three wedges with, say,  bigger loft/yardage gaps.

Early hint : If you're in a deep bunker, the 58* will be a better sand club than the 54*. Practice sand shots with both.

Focus, connect and follow through!

The lofts match up to give you good gaps. Something to consider, check out some non-G25 wedges... For two reasons: 1 - you might find you just like them better 2 - you would have more options. For instance, still get a 58 degree wedge but with a tour grind or something, which will give you more options/shots with the club.
