Can we have TST mailing groups?

Dear Tech group,

The St. Louis area TST following has an informal group of about 20 members. ClubRat has offered to host us at his golf club for a TST outing.

It would be easier to contact everyone for such events if I could put together an address group for sending out PMs. Does TST permit this? If yes, what is the procedure?

You can make a St. Louis group. That'll give you the option to send a mass-PM to every group member, and the way those are set up, it's basically a private thread that only those members are able to see. Since the default option sends members a notification when they get a PM, that's basically the same thing. If you need some help with any of that, you can send me a PM and I'll set it up.

Or do like we did (Socal) and make the group (and leave it public so others can join if they so desire**), then just create a thread in there to iron out the details of your events.  It's fun for the rest of us to follow along vicariously.

**We've had several non-Socal members join us more than once for our outings.
