It says fake....as in, real, or fake.

I voted "Don't Know" mainly because, well I don't know. He seems like a great guy, you read all of the stories about his charity work and all that so it is hard to assume he's fake, but then you hear that he's an a$$ supposedly.

I have to lean toward not fake, but again not knowing him personally I can't say 100%.

he is very real. Not sure why this poll was created, to begin. He's had some challenges, maybe not met your expectations from time to time, but he is a good competator that happens to be ranked 4th.

ive got proof... first, he gave me his ball at bethpage...i didnt even ask for it i was just walking by and he gave it to me...i checked, no cameras were around...second, he signed autographs for over an hour and a half after a practice round at shinnecock while tiger didnt even sign one...NOT EVEN ONE measly autograph after he finished

No he's not fake. No one can be liked by everyone and no can be in a good mood all the time. So I'm tired of hearing how he's a jerk or he's this or that. No one in this world can say they have never been a jerk to anyone at one time or another.
His generosity is genuine and he doesn't do it for publicity.

I think he sounds artificial when being interviewed on TV/radio. But then the stories I hear outside the tv spots makes him sense genuine. Hence why I said I don't know.....what I do wish is that he would exercise and get rid of those dam bitch t*ts! lolz

I think most of his media responses are too scripted for me personally but I'm not sure that he's a bad guy. Sure I'm a Tiger guy and therefore I'm supposed to really dislike Phil but I guess I'm "neutral". I wish he would be a little more honest with the media but hey, that's sports and how a good amount of athletes deal with the media.

Maybe we as a country, are too used to our president not being able to pronounce the names of countries we want to invade? Or stumbling over his own words like an 8th grader giving a science fair presentation....

Intelligence doesnt make you fake... it makes you..... *gasp* ... intelligent.

As for Appleby's issue with the Pro-Am, that is the Tour's fault, not Phil's... think it would have been any different for Tiger??

      I was laid off two months ago. Good severance, a 90 day layoff announcement regulation the company wanted to avoid so technically I'm still on the payroll for a few weeks, and a bunch of banked PTO, so I'm in a great spot and working on a startup idea I've been batting around with my brother for a while. That means I've got time to get to the gym! I'm at like 60-75 minutes 5x a week of strength training, and either a run or a bunch of time playing soccer or tennis with my daughter on the weekends. Stronger than I've been in forever. Up ~5 pounds of (noticeable!) muscle!

      Is This Club Blatantly Sandbagging?

      A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club?
