wedges distance question?

hello everyone,

late last season i bought a new set of ping g20's.  I went with the g20 wedges Gap (or U wedge) 50*, SW 54* and LW 58*, I feel like the SW and the LW are the basically the same distance off the turf and leaves a little bit of a gap in my clubs, or is this normal in a bag for the wedges??? any suggestions?

SW and LW are the same..? What and how do you base your numbers for these 2 clubs..?  Also, are you swinging the same with both clubs all the time..?  I have a 54, but then I jump to a 60, and there's a good 20, just a guess gap between the 2 clubs. Not everyone is the same, so YMMV.

Between the SW and LW, you have 4* loft and 1/4" shaft length difference (35.25" to 35").

If there's a loft gap, most golfers experience a greater gap than expected between SW and LW. For many the difference between a half swing and a 3/4 swing with an LW is mainly more height and not much more distance.

If you can find an open area, hit a half dozen shots with each wedge and measure how far they go. Try this with quarter, half, and 3/4 swings. Make sure the distances are actually the same.

I agree with this.  If you are getting decent gaps with all of your other clubs, it seems strange that you would not with a 4 degree difference with the wedges.
