2014 U.S. Opens (Plural!) at Pinehurst #2 Discussion Thread - Page 20

Think it will happen in the early flights today. They will benefit most from the softer greens.

Joost Luiten could move up the bord today. He's swinging well at the moment. As i'm a duchman

i follow him a lot. If his putting gets better he will be top material for the near future.

For a first timer in the US Open he started very well with an opening even par 70.

Absolutely, and I think they will try to make it diabolical. Don't think they loved a 65 yesterday and that rain wasn't welcomed. But even with that, soft conditions should allow for a couple low ones today. Should be fun.

Is it true there's no TV coverage from 2-4p CT today? ESPN going away for the World Cup. The afternoon flight today is the one I'm most interested in, Phil, Rory, Speith. Can't believe only half their rounds will be covered??

Switches to NBC, doesn't it?

Don't believe it.

Same as yesterday: it's on NBC.

Ah, ok, thanks, didn't go that far down the dial, thought it had to go somewhere but I stopped at Golf Channel and TBS. Whew!

I'd be okay with kaymer getting to about 9 under par today and cruising to a easy win...

I'd settle for +2. Hoping for +5.

No more Schüco Conspiracy!

Well, I'd have no trouble applauding a Kaymer win, and he's a good front-runner who's unlikely to give it away. But I hope it's a bit more interesting than that, and given the toughness of the pin placements available I really can't see anyone cruising to an easy win.

Nobody wants an easy win especially at the open. As someone else put it yesterday, I WANT CARNAGE! It was a bit refreshing to see Rose chunk a short pitch yesterday.

It is time to have his wife pick out his clothes!

Kaymer winning would not move the needle even a little, for me, or the golf world. To qualify, my favorite athlete is German, the Dunking Deutchman.

I picked him to win at -9 a2_wink.gif

I would score a set of winn grips and new driver.

Kaymer starting where he left off last night. Seven under. Might be tough for those starting later if he carries on like this.

I'd love Kaymer to win and have his score to stay right where it is since he's my pick to win at -6 in the contest.
