Yeah the only thing that has a chance is if some poa seeds ended up in there. I would consider the nursurey green it wouldnt cost that much. you only need 6 inches of top mix since you are not putting in any cups.
Hmmm. That wouldn't be a bad idea for me to put in at home. I have the land and some farm equipment so it wouldn't be hard to do.
Yeah it's amazing how that much bare ground can fill it like that. Also amazing how complete that winter kill was and how places that we haven't touched yet are still dead.

All of this rain we are getting every afternoon is really growing the fairways and rough. Having to mow much of the Bermuda rough in granny low and go over it twice to keep it from looking like a hayfield.
Greens are pretty good now so these will probably be my last pics of them.
Still a slight mix of Bermuda and but since we over-seeded with bent a few weeks ago (and the weather is cooler) the bent is becoming the more dominant grass. They should be good bent greens next year.
If there is any place in the South that calls for bent grass it's right here. In hindsight I would have to say that the Bermuda experiment was a failure. Even thought the Bermuda greens were very nice there is just too much chance of winter kill here on the mountain. Truthfully we don't have nearly the summer problems with bent grass that most places in the South have anyway.
+1 to the fungicides. We don't have or use any fans and rarely would need them except for one green in a bowl to watch pretty closely. Wind almost always blows at the course and the summer daytime temps are 8 to 10 degrees lower than in the valley. (I don't even have an air conditioner).
I hate those fans anyway. Ruins my peace and quiet. Reminds me I have a rule question on those fans I need to ask or look up in the rules forum.
