Been playing with a costco set for years but just bought all new clubs and getting more serious about golfing my bag now looks like.

Bag boy bag

Taylormade tour preferred cavity back 4-aw set + the tour preferred 56* and *60 wedges.

Callaway diablo octane 9.5*

Callaway x hot pro tour 13.5* wood

Callaway x hot pro 16* hybrid

Adams speedline lp 20* wood

Odyssey tank 2-ball versa

I've never actually kept track enough to get a handicap but I will this summer and hope to improve it a good amount.

Ah, I was watching Mark Crossfields review of the CB irons this morning and was intrigued by the short irons not being cavity backs. Is that right?

If so, does that mean they are forged irons (the short irons) and if they are how do you find them?

Sort of.. the 3-7 are cavity backs with polymer. The 8-AW have the same style head without the polymer insert. I believe they have a cast head welded to a forged face.

The 56 and 60 tour preffered are just s one pieve design.

Nice bag full of clubs you have there.

I have an "old" Diablo Octane in my closet.... good driver.

I didn't know they still sell those.

Tour or not, if you are planning on setting a handicap no score will be valid with more than 14 clubs. However, you might find that you don't need one of them after playing a bit to get the feel for the gaps between clubs anyway. Definitely a nice looking bag and clubs though, grats on the purchase and hope they play well for you.

FWIW:

I sometimes carry up to 16 clubs. No big deal, right?

If I was to play in some kind of official tournament I'll eliminate one or two clubs and get compliant.

.

Driver

3 wood

5 wood

3 hybrid

4 hybrid

5-PW irons

50 gap

54 wedge

60 lob

Putter

Sometimes I may include a 2 hybrid. And some days I'll omit 2-hybrid, 5 wood and gap

The problem is, if you use a bag with extra clubs that means your score isn't valid so you can't use it for handicap purpose. Other than that it isn't a big deal.

Oh...ok.

No big deal.

It's not like I pick-up after a quadruple because "my handicap won't allow it".
