I've never been a fan of the home net, you can develope bad habits without even knowing it IMO. Now chipping and putting, i do that in my backyard all of the time.

ahh.. so you live by a course. well you can answer a question i've been wondering for a while. how often has someone hooked/sliced a ball to your house and caused some kind of damage? does the golf course pay for it?

Oh i'm S.O.L. In addition to having a few big trees, we had our windows tempered glazed which is designed to withstand greater impacts, and when it does break, it does so in many little pieces, just like your automobile windshield. In three years no problems thus far.

I use/own a Medicus, Kallassy’s Swing Magic, Inside Approach, a weighted iron, SpeedStik and the Swing Glove. I have also used a net in my back yard but I agree that this can ingrain bad habits. My two favorite aids are the SpeedStik and the Swing Golve.

I use an Intec swing trainer. Weighs a bit and has the correct hand grip. It's great for getting loose, staying in tempo and finishing the swing. Highly recommend it.

I live on a farm so there is no lack of space for a golf range, except that I eventually got tired of retrieving golf balls. So now I just make sure I'm the first one into the office and do 20-30 practice swings with a 7 iron at 5 AM every morning.
