Not when I play, but I do like it when I practice. Takes some of the monotony out of it.

Not my cup of tea, but if I can't hear it, I don't care. Same goes for cell phones.  It is another thing if there is a little line up at the tee box, but even in that case, I guess I wouldn't care. As long as I can get away from it after a short time.

We had this issue at our club. Their are a couple of groups that play fairly loud music while playing. We asked our pro about it and he looked up in the rules of golf and apparently you are not allowed to have an outside agent that may help with your tempo or swing. His opinion was that music was not allowed. Thats why you never see a pro wearing earbuds at a tournament. I'm sure one of you can locate the exact rule.

It doesn't really matter much to me. I wouldn't personally put any music on while I play, but if one of my friends has some on, I don't mind it or I won't ask him to turn it off.

Two guys I got paired with a few weeks ago had a Jambox in their cart playing classic songs; not classical, but hit songs like MJ, Sinatra, etc. via satellite radio from their phones. They had it on the practice putting green before the round and then in the cart. I didn't notice until the 3rd tee they had it on in the cart because it was really nice music and fit well. I asked them about it and then they asked if it was bothering me, which it wasn't. I thought it was absolutely lovely. I could see it being annoying with a poorer musical choice or inappropriate volume, but this was just great.

It doesn't bother me either way, I actually like music playing, but can see why some would not. On our annual buddies trip, I have music playing about 1/2 of the time we are on the course, and it's loud enough for those within a few paces of my phone to hear.
