First 9 of the year. Terrible. Shot a 54 lol

Started off with a bogey on a straight forward par 4, and followed that up by sinking to straight tee shots in the water and carding a 9 on a par 3. I three putted probably 5 of the holes.

On the bright side, every shot inside of 155 yards was right on target. Nailed a 155 7 iron to within 20 ft, and 3 putted...woof. Just couldn't hit good tee shots or putt...:(

This is what happens when you don't touch a club in 8 months...

That's better than my first 9 hole round this year I think. It should come back fairly quickly if you hit the range and review the drills Erik gave you last year. I didn't do that and it really is biting me in the ass, have to start all over on my swing again.

Well, what's funny is...last year, I spent all season working on ball striking with my irons and wedges, and sure enough...that's the part that stuck. My ball striking was above average for me.

Chipping and pitching was decent...but putting and driving killed me.

Hey! Did you finally move into my area?

What course did you play? We will definitely have to hook up for a round sometime soon. Unfortunately, it may be a week or two until I'm able to get back out with being on standby (baby watch 2014) for the time being.

I went out to Skyland on Sunday and did really well. I've yet to play Royal Crest this year though.

Keep practicing and it'll all come back. My first few rounds this year were horrible!

Royal Crest haha.

And yes, I'm in Medina near Rt. 18 and 71. Not far from Fox Meadows now. We definitely gotta get out...I'm in Chicago this week, but I brought my clubs, so I'm gonna try to hit up a course here.

I played Fox only once this year so far and had a rough time. It was my second 9 of the year and I think I shot a 45. A buddy of mine lives on the course, but the guy literally works 24/7-365, so I really only get to go out there maybe 2-3 times a year.

If you haven't played Skyland (http://www.skylandgolfcourse.com/), check that course out. It's pretty wide open and straight forward, but the greens are usually fast and very nice. There's a few eye-catching holes too, like a Par 3 on the back 9 where you're hitting over a giant 30 foot wide by 30 foot deep rocky ravine.

Another cool course that is about 8 minutes away from us is Ridgetop (http://www.ridgetopgolfcourse.net/).

Sounds good also. Just shoot me a PM or text any time you want to get out on a weekend. I may have lost your number, so just PM me when you're back in town.
