Block/Push Shot due to bad hip rotation

So I've hit that dreaded 110-115 mark that is so hard for most players to overcome and break 100.  I am on month 3 of golfing now.  I consistently shoot horrible front 9s (around 59-65) and "decent" back 9s (yesterday was a 44).

One of my biggest issues is I am pushing my shots right.  Particularly with my driver off the tee and my long hybrids every once in a while.  I have had a couple lessons and my instructor said that my lower body is not rotating enough at impact.  That's all fine and dandy, but then he really doesn't offer much help in drills or technique change...He just kind of says "rotate your right hip more."  I plan on finding a new teacher...

Anyways, I have now been focusing on rotating more, the biggest problem I find is that when I go for a big hip rotation, I end up lifting my head and topping the ball...When I focusing on rotating it seems to make me want to hurry my follow through up for some reason.

Anyone else struggle with the block/push shot?  Anyone know any drills to get the lower hips to move through the swing?  When I do line up the hips right at impact, it is money.  Straight down the fairway.  Otherwise, it is straight into the other fairway haha.

on the practice range, try to get the club head to follow thru around your body... really work on rotating after impact. see if you start seeing results.

I'm not an instructor or a very good golfer, but I have been struggling with pushes off the tee this year as well.  It seems the biggest cause for me is ball position.  I was getting the ball back close to the middle of my stance.  Once I got the ball more forward off my left foot(I'm a righty) I quit blocking it way out to the right.  Hopefully this helps.

I've been working on this exact thing, problem is that when I do, I lift my head and top the ball haha.  Guess it is just a mix of getting the club around after impact while keeping that head still.

I'm not an instructor or a very good golfer, but I have been struggling with pushes off the tee this year as well.  It seems the biggest cause for me is ball position.  I was getting the ball back close to the middle of my stance.  Once I got the ball more forward off my left foot(I'm a righty) I quit blocking it way out to the right.  Hopefully this helps.

I don't think my alignment or set up is the problem.  I play the ball off the inside of my front heel, forward in my stance.  Thanks though!

The easy solution would be to quit lifting your head.

I'm only assuming, but if you are topping the ball, I don't think you are swinging around your body on a flat enough plane, or keeping your spine angle consistent. You might want to try taking full swings, at 50% speed... work specifically on rotating shoulders to swing around your spine while keeping your spine angle the same on back swing - down swing, and follow thru. Try to focus on not picking up your shoulders (shrugging), or thrusting your hips forward (standing up) while doing this drill. Drive thru leading with hips to your left side (if you are a righty). It should feel awkward at first.
