At our course we play four times a week. Wed at 12 and fri at 12. Sat and Sun at 9. We usually have anywhere from 12 to 24 golfers who all have points established . Once in a while somebody will show up and our rule is until they have three rounds they are froze at whatever the pro says they are. The most they can help is plus 3 and hurt is - 3. After three rounds they have points. We put up $15. Ten of those dollars are for team points on front and back ( most over ) we also have $2 individual points if you want to get in the pot for most over. We also put up $3 for par three scats . My question is how is the money divided if only 9 holes are played because of weather ? I say half all is fair  but I got to get everyone to agree. Also who tells if we can continue play or stop. I suggested the person in charge of pro-shop. He should know if play can continue and make the call. Also we set a 5 hour time frame to complete the round. After that the pro shop manager makes the call. I need help on this one. Today we had 24 players. It rained hard with lightning so played was stopped. One team finished all 18 but they were the only team. All teams completed 9 so I said pay half back and I got into it. The winners of the front 9 claimed they won it all I said no. Any help please

If I actually understood how your system worked, I might be able to help, but have to plead transatlantic ignorance. ;-)

The only thing I understood was your 5 hour limit on completing a round.

5 hours!   If that's the limit, then you have guys liable to be  taking more than 5 hours? :bugout:

What you do with the rest of the money >? . Do you just pay the entire amount that was put up even though only 9 holes were completed ? We have some angry people that they did not get 1/2 their money back when it rained. We put up money for the front and back 9 holes. Only 9 holes were completed. Our course is short and you should complete 18 holes in 3.5 hours. We used the 5 hour limit because some would say that when the weather clears they will go back out and play. A decision has to be made so this is not an all day event. It rains and someone makes the call that no more golf today, then if 9 holes were completed them the other money is give back. Just need a suggestion on how others do it in a weather thing like this

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
