I'm fairly confident that 90% of 20 something year old females have tried twerking. (something that was around long before Miley) Whether it be in the privacy of their bathroom or after winning the US Open...I genuinely feel like 90% is a solid number...and I love it.

So people that like to dance and have a good time can enjoy it. And so Michelle can redeem herself after the horrible Hawaiian hula dance she did after the Lotte Championship.

That's going to leave a mark...especially after it's run on every major network and sports channel.

Please lord, yes. In Slow-mo.

BTW, twerking has been around for many years before Miley Cyrus ruined it in many peoples eyes.

Michelle's just bringing it back!

That night will haunt Michelle for at least a few weeks.  Like social media, it seems athletes and celebrities can't comprehend that everyone has built in still / video cams on their phones and nothing they do can be considered private.

I couldn't care less about her twerking. She seems cool to party with though
post #11 of 55

Her sponsorship value just went down a few notch.

Can you really ruin something like that? Was it ok before it was popularized again? I personally wouldn't be happy to ever hear about my daughter tweerking never mind having a video of it..

I'm trying to be nice can you tell? :)

What if she endorses twerking lessons? I could use a class to teach me some more dance moves...

I could have done without seeing the video, but I don't agree with either of those posts.

Oh well, I enjoyed it. c2_beer.gif She "attempted" to twerk not a big deal at all. If Natalie Gulbis can pose basically naked in a magazine after winning nothing, Wiezy can let her hair down a bit after winning a major.

And I watched it twice! LOL

I wouldn't be ok with my daughter wearing a skimpy bathing suit either...doesn't mean I still don't like to look at beautiful women in skimpy bathing suits....

And yes, I've always personally been ok with twerking, and yes, Miley definitely put a negative light on that type of booty shaking (only because she was bad). It's just booty shaking people. BOOTY...SHAKING, nothing wrong with having fun.

Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion..

I don't think it hurts her sponsorship value but I do think she'll grow tired of seeing and answering questions about the video which is what I meant by "haunt"
