I have a few score cards I have made that I use quite often. They are not like the score cards you get from the course as they allow for more info to be marked off. One I use most of the time has 100 entries available in groups of 25. Each number represents a stroke. Each number allows for three entries. Distance (needed), Club (chosen) , and Outcome (short, long, left, right, penalty etc....)  . The 4 groups of 25 entries allow for me to fold the paper into about the same size as typical score card. This score card is basically a history of play for me. I have given away 100s of  copies of this  to folks I have met on the course over the years.

The other two are like a regular course scorecard, but I just check off the what happened on each hole.

I have tried to upload these critters, but they don't show up right. They are probably 15+ years old.

Anyone else use their own score cards?

I always mark down GIR, FWs, and the number of putts I take for each hole as well as indicate which way I missed on my scorecard. I just use up the extra lines on the scorecard instead of creating my own. Seems like a good idea though as a consistent scorecard format would make it a lot easier to file them. For me, it is merely a tool for encouraging a mental awareness of what I'm doing but a new format might encourage me to actually calculate the trends in my game.

Nope. The only thing I write on a scorecard is the score for each hole and the ongoing status of whatever match we're playing.....because we're always playing a match.

I use the scorecards at the course, and when I play with a strange foursome I put all kinds of other information about the hole on it.

The last two rounds I have been putting down this per hole:

Score,

Putts,

Fairway status,

Gir status

Driving distance (when applicable)

First putt accuracy est. the number of feet (if applicable)

Golf Logix can track a whole lot more stuff, like FW bunkers, pitches, chips etc.

I use the course scorecard, but I take up most of it. I track fairways hit (and the direction of my misses), greens in regulation, and putts per hole along with my score. That takes up the top four rows, so in the bottom two I have a row for +/- to par (easier than adding the hole by hole) and any notes on the hole. I just put it all in the Golfshot app to keep track of the stats over time. I'm pretty happy because, so far, I've been averaging 61% GIR and 1.95 putts per GIR. My scrambling is an abysmal 40% though.

Would love to get a copy.. Anyway you can scan it or something? If you have a soft copy via email would be cool too!

I use the golfshot app. It gives you GIR, scrambling, sand saves, fairways hit, putts and scoring. It will also give you an analysis per club, but I don't bother to input that data. Much easier than devising your own scorecard/spreadsheet.

The more I practise, the luckier I hope to get.

I've used a bit of this and a bit of that. When I played a lot and played serious rounds, I used an app. It made the job quick and gave me a good history. I could also put in FIR, GIR, putts, U&D; etc., which is good if you want to improve overall or just enjoy statistics.

Nowadays, I tend to play more practice rounds without keeping score, but when I do, I usually keep track of where am I relative to par, from hole to hole.

    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
    • Day 96 (18 Mar 24) - Continued work with the Divot Board with the GW and hard foam balls.  Focused on small target/small miss…setup to hit target about 30yds out - success if it hit within 6’ circle of target, fail if outside.  Had decent success averaging about 3 out of 4 (hitting in groups of four).
    • Wordle 1,003 3/6 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩   felt a little like Wyndham when the first three green and I began the fist pump…
    • I'm relieved someone finally defined hiking. I was giddy when I saw these new TPI videos a day or so after they dropped. Very easy to understand the problem and solution the way they have presented it. Been working on fixing this for about a year and a half now. It's nice to be able to call it something so communication becomes easy.  I was working on more lateral and up too, but just having someone define it clearly in video form was so helpful for me to continue confidently with what I thought was wrong and how I had to fix it.  My conceptual error here was just trying to rotate like a tour pro but without including the necessary forward pressure/weight shift associated with enough lateral and upward motion of the pelvis.  This video is great too, as is Greg Rose.
    • Day 2.    couple mins of rolling putts end over end.    10 mins of Slow, mirror work, working on starting the downswing and impact wrist positions. Hit a couple balls into the net after.    Then finished with a couple chips to see if I could repeat what I worked on yesterday.
