But look at 18 ... tap-ins for birdie ... something not kosher. But it is what it is.

Bernd Weisberger is this year's Bob May.

I dunno. Bob May was what 32, 33? He was a journeyman who hadn't won anything in his life. Bernd is a younger european with a few Euro Tour wins and potential to get better. I think he'll be a top 50 staple. We'll see.

Anyone want to offer to hit THAT next shot for Palmer? a5_crying.gif

Tend to agree. 18 seems like an easy par 5 with little chance to get into trouble. Or perhaps these last groups are just tearing it up. Is this considered a good closing hole? Seems like a hole with legitimate trouble would be more exciting.

Bob May looked much older and less physically imposing than Woods. The Austrian is younger and in good shape.

I really don't know that it's a bad hole....these guys are just hammering their drives!

That water is terrifying, and McIlroy and Day just bust two down the middle. Incredible.

?...Tough round for Jim. Think he will be a non factor tomorrow.

Rory will probably birdie to take the lead

I remember it seeming tougher during the Ryder Cup.

Yes ... they are.

I think the wait on 18 messed with Day and Rors on their 2nd shot ---  approaches - 210 and 205... 4i and 5i

Still, they make a mistake and are looking at 7 feet for birdie... hmmmm.

Furyk was right in it midway thru round as I recall. I know he had it at -9 while lead was -10. Sad to see him drop a couple as others gained a couple.

Dammit he made it. c4_mad.gif
By my account about 12(?) players with a decent shot tomorrow. That probably means Rory will win. d2_doh.gif

Ricky is only 1 back...so far. Hope he lights up tomorrow...

Umm, make that 2 back....:yucky:

Wow.

That may have been one of the most entertaining rounds of golf I've ever watched!
