Total beginner, buying first set of clubs

Hey everybody first post here, just looking for some advice. I am buying my first set of clubs, buying used and not sure which is the better deal. TNT golf club set pw-9 irons 1-3-5 wood all with graphite shafts putter $60 Callaway big bertha driver Altima gold graphite shaft 3-5 wood Altima gold steel shaft pw-9 irons no putter $80 I was thinking about getting the 2nd deal, but I'd rather not buy a putter seperately. Just wondering if the 2nd deal is that much better to justify buying a putter. Again, I'm a total beginner, with 3 rounds of golf under my belt.

Haven't heard of them except for the Big Bertha driver ... it must be the old BB driver.

I would get the first set.  If  you find you like golf, you would want to upgrade either set anyway.

I would get the second set too. And as said, if you still love the game and are playing regularly after a few months then you can begin upgrading things bit by bit. Good Luck and enjoy the game! :beer:

      Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

      Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things?       Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
