Anyone use Uber? As a driver, not a passenger.

Curious to see what your experiences were like. Especially collecting payment. I have a car to myself a lot, when I do have a car, seems like a waste to not use the space.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

I can tell you that here in Miami, Uber is trying to make inroads & the taxicab companies are screaming bloody murder over it (I'm in the transportation business). At the end of the day, I think the taxicabs will lose the fight since they don't have the most stellar reputation here. They're notorious for taking tourists on joyrides, dirty taxis, dropping people off in the middle of nowhere, etc.

Just as a passenger, I can say that the payment collecting part was one of the best parts of my Uber experience.  It didn't exist.  It was all done electronically.  They won't accept tips either.

Just used über for the first time this last weekend in Santa Barbara. OMG what a brilliant experience and business model. There are very few cyber-ized businesses that I feel provide superior service and experience to the old ways, but uber is definitely one. Scheduling a pickup, monitoring the progress of your pickup, payment, and the driver/customer rating system are all genius.
