Has anyone hit or played the Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 Drivers (Reg or Beta)?

I am thinking of getting a new driver and wondered about the Tour Exotics line. I ordered the XCG6 3 wood and it is one of the best fairway woods I've ever hit. The reviews on it are great but I find less info on their drivers. I just noticed they've introduced a new model driver (E8) and I've seen some price drops online on the XCG7. I can't find anyone locally handling them or any demo days in my area and I hesitate to buy without trying it. Any info would be appreciated.

I certainly haven't. Would they help my game?

All modern drivers are essentially the same.

Exotics clubs are excellent. Their fairways and hybrids get more press because the driver market is so saturated by the big OEMs.

They just don't pay for reviews or sponsor players, so the demand is limited because buyers don't see them on TV.

I have  Exotics hybrids and fairways and like them so much that I have spares in case something happens to them.

I don't know, that's why I asked. I have one of their fairway woods and it is awesome. I'd loved to hear from someone who plays their driver.

Maybe if I ever get into the low single digits, I might look at these type of clubs.

They seem, well, exotic.

I pretty much agree Shorty on the drivers. I love my Exotics fairway wood, just would love to see or hit the driver but they are hard to find in NC. I do have a shop around an hour away, I may driver over and take a look.That new E8 sure looks good but won't be out until October.

Sorry I can't provide you much help on the TEE drivers, but really like their fairway woods.  In my away bag I use the TEE XCG 7 3W, it's great off the tee and turf.  Based on what I've read their drivers are also very good, but their fairway woods and hybrids really seem to stand out, maybe for the reasons @Shorty listed.

Since you're a 3 HDCP, the Exotics drivers are definitely worth trying. I tried the XCG7 at a 2013 demo day. A super hot club, but I found it a bit hard to handle. (Hey, I'm 23 HDCP). I did better with their XRail driver.

(I ended up buying the XRail 4W + 7W, and the two are solid.)

Thanks for the info, even at a 3, I feel like I need all the help I can get. I've looked at the G30 and that is a fantastic club, the tour Exotics is a little less stress on the wallet.

even though this is an old thread, I happened to order a fairway wood online mostly because the price looks good. Not the best way to buy, I know, especially having not demoed one. Hoping for the best, and I need a modern fairway wood.
