I'll give you 300, but it's been a bad year for movies. I still think Superbad it great, but not sure if it really fits, but definitley the lowbrow comedy of the year.

Die Hard 4.0 IMO was the best action movie of 07'. keep in mind, only if you've seen the other Die Hard movies, will you enjoy the John Mclane dialogue...
300 was good but wasn't as entertaining as Die Hard 4.0

I've never played Bear Slide. This summer I've been playing at The Fort, Prairie View, Golf Club of Indiana, and Saddlebrook. I live downtown, so you'll also find me at the Riverview Driving Range pretty often.

Superbad by far. Other good ones are Blades of Glory (older) and Simpsons movie. Gotta give it credit for taking 10 years to make.

Sweet man, maybe we will run into each other. Play all those except The Fort, don't know that one. Take care

I would have to disagree with you on this. I loved the first three, and thought 4 was just good, not great IMO. I liked 300 better

Just thought that most of the movies you had listed were geared for younger crowd-I'm 38 though so that may explain it-loved the Bourne movie as I was a huge fan of those books.

Growing up with movies as an integral part of my life, you're getting a full opinion. I don't know how I missed this thread the first time. I'm glad someone bumped it. Organized first by quality and then arbitrarily within.

Movies I thought were great:

* 300 (at least people stopped doubting me when I told them about the 300)
* Beowulf
* The Golden Compass (I was waiting for that movie half my life. Literally)
* Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (release date was bad for me due to first round of qualification exams, but at least I got my predictions right)
* Transformers (T2 on list of movies I've seen the most times in theaters. And a great original score!)
* The Simpsons (I guess Spider Pig wasn't long enough to be nominated for best original song)
* Futurama: Bender's Big Score (straight to DVD is still a movie. And you can probably tell I'm a big Futurama fan by the icon)
* I Am Legend. I saw the Omega Man the night before I saw MiB back in 8th grade, and said then that Will Smith would be great in that. I feel that, half my life later, I was right. I have a habit of wanting casting decisions that seem to cause internet complaints (although that's not why I want them).
* Live Free or Die Hard.
* 3:10 to Yuma. Better than the original, I feel. And, unlike most of the Russell Crowe movies I've seen, there was no thirty minute piece of nothingness in the middle.
* The Bucket List. It was 2007 in Los Angeles at least. Very funny.
* Bourne 3. Because the right mix of action and plot in an action movie is 100% action and 100% plot. It's like 2-in-1 shampoo: yes, you can fit both in.

Worth seeing but not excellent:

* Michael Clayton. I kept seeing them as a former Batman and a former Batman villain for half the movie. That interfered a bit with my understanding.
* The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - had about a thirty minute period of the movie that could've been removed to make it flow better and keep up the pace. Once I became aware of the thirty minutes, I started looking for Russell Crowe.

Still haven't seen from 2007, and intend to see:
* Superman, and I should see it since I'm a big fan of Baldwin (due to Firefly ) and Marsters (from Buffy )
* Ratatouille , and I should see it because Brad Bird has yet to disappoint me.
* American Gangster
* Sweeney Todd

    • Day 107 - More pitching practice, playing around with trajectory.
    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? TIGER WOODS' AMATEUR VICTORIES YEAR WIN(S) 1984 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1985 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1988 Boy's 11-12 Junior World Golf Championships   1989 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships   1990 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships, Insurance Youth Golf Classic   1991 U.S. Junior Amateur, Boys 15–17 Junior World Golf Championships, Orange Bowl International Junior Look at some other AJGA Players of the Year. How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
