Hello fellow golfers
I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I am a senior golfer age 65. I just took up golf again this year after having giving it up for the last 8 years or so. I previous gave up golf because my game was horrible. But after have received a few lessons this spring combined with lots of practice my game has improved quite substancially. So much so that I have knocked 10-12 stokes off what I use to play before I gave up golf.
Especially of Interest (at least to me is what follows)
I recently bought a used Wilson Wild Thing 9 Wood which has a 26 degree loft. Since I can't hit normal drivers very well, I have found that I can usually hit this Wild Thing driver an unbelievable 190 - 210 yards if I make good contact and put extra effort into my swing to increase club speed to the best I can figure, around 100 MPH or so. And what's really important is that I have noticed that I usually hit the ball straight with this driver.
I can believe the distance I have been able to drive with this club. This Wilson Wild Thing 9 wood has now become my long distance driver
