I've definitely hit it in the water twice on the same hole. I've also hit it OB and in the water on the same hole. Can't think of a time where I had more than two. Even when I made a 10 on the first hole at Spyglass I only lost one ball.

Five for me.

Was playing a hole with a fairly long forced carry and into a strong wind. Just wasn't man enough to play that hole on that day. :surrender:

The sixth time was the charm (by a yard).

Two, for me. Still happens more often than I'd like. I really can't think of a time where it would be three, so I'm pretty confident it's two.

3 for me.

Was paired with the (then) GM of the club during our *beat the pro* tournament.

Shotgun start and started on one of our shortest par 4s.

Hooked 3 OOB left, put up a 9 on the hole and spent the remaining 17 holes with only skins to play for.

Three for me just a few months ago. Par 5. Nice drive with about 210 over a lake to the approach to the green. Well struck 7 wood but just a few yards short. Dropped into some of the gnarliest rough imaginable. About 150 to carry the water now. Not even close to clearing it. Had to drop in the same rough. Tried to punch out to the side about 100 yards but still over the water. Not even close. Dropped another one and chunked it backwards. Then I cleared the water onto the green and made the putt for a 10. We call a 10 'moose ears".

and then ????

Pitched it short of the green, pitched it to about 8 feet. Sank the putt using my right hand only. I just got tired of caring and decided to do something more fun. So I sank a putt, putting one handed :-D

Hit into the water off the tee, go to the drop area. Hit into the water from the drop area and take a drop at the next drop area. Hit the next shot, from the drop area into the water. This is my home course and the only thing worse than the course is the members.

Spinds like you're on to something there! Lol

One handed putting is something Erik had me do to feel more float in putting. I actually start putting on the practice green one handed before I play a round. I am kinda getting really good at it now. :-D

Three for me. Par three about 180 over water. Hit tee shot into water. Took drop and proceeded to chunk it into the water out of frustration and then got hit next drop into bunker left side of hole. Proceeded to hit it out of bunker only to have it land to far past the flag and proceed to roll into the lateral hazard on the right side of the green. Needless to say it was a rough hole.

2 a couple of times.  I tend to stop being aggressive after the second one.
