Split the winnings with the team?

I was on a golf team of 5 ... We played every Tuesday in a two person format, the other 3 would play as an extra. We rotated playing on the two man team. (And I won my matches) We made the play offs and put the two we thought would give us the best chance of winning, and I went out of town the last game. I did not play in the play offs along with my friend, but was there all but one game to play if we thought the match up was right. I had forgotten about the plays offs, but knew we won them ... I got email tonight saying the winnings would be distributed based on your contribution in the playoffs ... Since it was paid out for the playoff and not the season and would not split with the team Never heard of a "team" paying only those that played ... It's not about the money (in fact, had not even thought about it till the email), it was how do you come up with that logic ... I am amazed how money makes some people behave ... Needless to say I will not be on the team again next ...

IMHO..if you made a contribution to the team, then you should be included in any winnings, and should be split 5 ways Equally.
