I don't know anything about any of those brands.  Wedges aren't all that different anyways.  If you already know which lofts and bounce you want, why not just pick the prettiest and/or cheapest??

Also, just curious ... why not any of the major brands?

All very good points. The big brands I have nothing against but the quality of components in my experience are just as good for a third of the price. I'm probably going to go with the dynacraft which to me are the prettiest and not much more than the cheapest. Plus they are forged which I kinda dig. However the tour edge tgs have just caught my eye as well. Crap!

I have a Dynacraft 52/56/60 set that I bought about 3 years ago. I'm better at wedge play than the rest of my game, and I've found them to be excellent. I've never owned major name brand wedges, so I can't compare these to them over the long haul, but I demoed a SM4 Vokey a while back with my Dynacraft that had identical specs for loft, grind, and shaft length on the range for quite a while and felt just as comfortable with it. Maybe the $120 name brands offer a slight performance edge, but I've pitched in for eagle twice with the Dynacrafts and I've only played about 50 rounds of golf in my lifetime. I'm even thinking about getting another set instead of the Vokeys I was going to buy to save some money.

Cool.

One other thing ... I don't presume to know how you play, however, based on the fact that you say you want low/mid/low bounce for your three wedges, I think it would be good for you to read this thread first: http://thesandtrap.com/t/57874/my-edel-wedges-or-super-bounce-and-why-its-good-for-you-or-the-sweet-spot-is-finally-in-the-right-place/0_30

Once I learned how to properly pitch the ball (found here: http://thesandtrap.com/t/39411/quickie-pitching-video-golf-pitch-shot-technique/0_30) I can't see ever, EVER, needing a wedge with low bounce.

I have an Inazone CNC milled SW and 60. They are fine. They really spin the ball when new, but that doesn't last long.

I'm a pretty good wedge player. Rarely hit thin or fat. Sand is a breeze for me as well. When I say low mid high I'm referring to 8 12 10 which is actually probably mid so pardon my mistake. I can even go 10 14 10. I think I'm going to actually go with the Clevelamd 588 RTX. It will only run about $100 more for a set of three and the bounces seem more in line to what I'm looking for. All the others are along the lines of 8 12 7 or so. Oh and the reviews are insane.

My only point with the bounces is that you're almost always better off with more than less because it's nice to have when you need it and easy to "hide" when you don't.  If you're hitting a chip shot where you aren't using the bounce, then your hands are forward and the leading edge is on the ground anyway.  Know what I mean?

Plenty of situations where you won't need to use the bounce on your wedge, however, I don't know of a situation where you NEED to have a low bounce wedge.  That said, 14 and 10 are about what I have and are on the high end of the off-the-shelf spectrum, so you probably can't do much better unless you were to go pricey and get fitted for some Edel's.

Slightly :offtopic: , but I always find my low bounce wedge useful for shots off of hardpan. It allows the leading edge to get down so you can clip the ball clean off the turf, rather than having a high leading edge that you can't help but hit a slightly thin shot with. It's not that you can't hit the shot with a lot of bounce, but I find it easier to do with less because it means the leading edge sits lower usually.

As for the Cleveland RTX wedges, I've heard great things about them. They should work nicely.

Have you tried Callaway PreOwned for a decent deal on OEM wedges, or rockbottomgolf.com where I see Callaway Jaws CC Wedges for $60, Bridgestone J40 for $80.

I disagree that having a high leading edge automatically leads to thin shots.  Doesn't get any "hard-pan-dier" than this and this ball popped up pretty nicely:

And, again, when you're hitting a full shot, your hands are forward, and bounce effectively hidden anyways, so all it does it make you less likely to dig in if you catch it a pinch fat.

Regardless, you are right that I'm off topic here.  I still contend that OP will do fine with any brand of wedges he so chooses, as long as the lofts and bounce fit his game. :)

Maltby tour grind MG...

First of all, make sure you understand bounce. A wedge has rated bounce , which is the basic bounce angle which is often etched onto the clubhead, and an effective bounce, which gauges turf interaction during a swing.

For details, see Ralph Maltby's interesting piece called Wedge Playability. http://www.ralphmaltby.com/50

For specifics on the MG wedges, check out the GolfWorks site: http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_MA0233_A_c2p_E_hp

On TST, I have talked to a couple of people who use the MGs. Although the rated bounce is fairly low, both players said the MGs were user-friendly and easy to hit.

For the PCF wedges, check out Wishon's site: http://wishongolf.com/designs/wedges/pfc-micro-tour/

This really wasn't a post for bounce though I really appreciate all the insight and great conversations. I fully understand bounce and currently can hit all types of bounce pretty well depending on the situation and what club and bounce I use. I really just wanted to hear any thoughts if anyone had played ant of those non OEM. I couldn't pass on the Cleveland RTX as they seem to be on every publication and blogs must have list. I really like all Maltby offerings. I love my TE forged set and I'm sure those MG wedges are awesome. Hell, I'll probably buy them to at some point. I'm a sucker for dabbling in too many clubs.

Sorry, I missed this question.  Seems like you made a good choice, especially considering that you could bend them down.  I have a 50 gap, 54.5 SW, 59 LW.
