I was wondering if anyone had some experience with these and whether or not they were better (or even were noticeably different from) the the standard KBS wedge shafts. I'm asking since, once next week's state tournament is completed, I am thinking of switching out my new wedges' shafts to the KBS Hi-Rev over the KBS wedge shaft (they have DG S200 "wedge flex" in them, which I know is a poor fit for me).

I have both in my wedges, Hi-Rev in my 54 and 58 and Wedge in my 50. I suspect the Wedge is not a good fit for me in the 50 because I am all over the place with that club. It never feels right with a full swing. Not sure what the stiffer tip does or doesn't do for me but my north to south dispersion is terrible with that shaft. Around the greens I am fine with it but I really only use the 50 for certain shots, toe down putt type chips, bumps etc. The Hi-Rev I love, feels good for everything. I will be pulling the Wedge out of my 50 and going with a regular KBS to match my irons. The Wedge felt so bad to me I wondered if I got a bad shaft. Went back to using my stock gap wedge of the same loft with the KBS Tour and all my problems disappeared.

Dave :-)

Depends on your swing and fit ... the Hi Rev comes in various flexes.

The feel is fine, gets the ball up, spins well around the greens.

Whether you use it in the PW depends on how you use that wedge. If you only use it on full or half wedges far from the green, you may want to go with your iron shaft. In the higher lofted wedges, where you want more spin on partials, chips, and rely on loft to get the ball up, the Hi Rev may work well for you.

Your mileage will vary because our swings and needs are different.
