I have decided this year to get some new vokey wedges. I know the lofts that I want but the new vokey wedges come in different grinds and bounces. I have the general knowledge and experience with different bounces. What I'm struggling with is the grinds. I have already purchased the 50.08 f grind. I knew that club was going to be used more for hitting full shots.

Now the 54 and 58 degree wedges have a lot more grinds and bounces. When I got to golf galaxy the people that work there don't seem to want to help or take the time to help me get fitted for the club I am going to buy. Can anyone explain what the grinds will do for me and how they relate to the different bounces? I know what the titleist website says but thats doesn't really explain in depth what the grinds do. Thank you for any help.

Hope this link works and I'm sure you have looked at the vokey wedge site.  There is more information here than I understand but good luck on your research

Vokey wedges are cheap. I'd look into Edel wedges.

Lastpick I am more of a neutral swinger with my wedges. My divots are fairly shallow but I do take good divots long divots as well. Not every shot is the same though. Obviously I hit some shots fat and some shots thin. It all depends on how I'm swinging that day.

I have no idea how to fit these wedges.  I googled slider, digger and neutral swings and found enough information to bury me.  I say your options are to hit the wedge you have for a while to see how it fits you with the F grind.  You can go to a demo day or something comparable and swing different grinds or go to a qualified fitter.  I am a double digit handicapper and the best advice I can give is don't take advice on swing or fitting from a double digit handicapper.  The link provides very much info about all the grinds.

Find a good clubfitter and work with him or her.

Wedge fitting should consider both your swing characteristics (slider... digger) and the average turf conditions you play on.

Vokey SM5 family contains 21 different loft/bounce combinations, with six different sole grinds mixed in. PW and GW all have F grind, with others mixing in on the SW and LW models.

If you are only worried about what's going to go through the turf for you, as well as lie angle, find a Titleist Demo Day or a Golf Course that may have Vokey Demo Wedges, borrow them for use at the range and see if they stick in the ground like a knife, whether you skull the ball with the leading edge, glide through the sand or turf, etc.

The only way to know for your swing is to demo them with your swing.

And then set the lie angle and check the lofts.

FYI, if you are buying at Golf Galaxy, they have a $50 coupon in the latest issue of Golf Digest.  This issue has Johnny Manziel on the cover.  This should knock the cost of two wedges down to about hundred bucks each.

If you don't dig or play hard pan courses less bounce is required. If you dig or play soft courses, more bounce is useful. The link provided is pretty clear.
