Is there anything I can improve on here? My driver distance just does not match up with my iron distances, I hit a 7 iron around 170 but my drives rarely break 240. Mind you, I had golfed once in the past month when this was taken. I have a feeling my wrist hinge at the top is too sloppy and needs more control? Any comments are welcome.

I'd focus on a couple address/posture pieces. You're sticking your butt out too much which causes you to sit back on your heels. This can stall the hip turn and make it harder to transfer your weight forward on the downswing. Would also recommend turning both feet out. This will help you turn your hips more on the backswing and move the left knee further forward on the downswing.

If I had to guess I would say your angle of attack with the driver is negative, you're hitting down. The set-up stuff I mentioned above will help. On the backswing the head moves towards the target and your weight doesn't get forward enough on the downswing. The lower body transferring forward on the downswing with the head remaining steady helps shallow out the angle of attack. Get the address pieces right for now and go from there.

Yeah that was always a problem of mine, spinning the hips out too fast.

Or… getting the arms down too slowly. I rarely ask players to slow something DOWN in their swing. But when you're talking about rates, they're always relative to some other rate.

Do you have any advice on how I can sync my arms and hips? Is it a matter of restricted hip turn in the backswing?

I'd start with simply moving your arms down faster.

This is what I do when I'm working on speeding up the arms to sync with the hips.

Thanks a lot both of you! I worked on the range for about an hour today and towards the end I started hitting it a lot better. I know it isn't perfect by any means but it's a lot closer than it was and feels a lot more powerful and easier. Sorry that I only have a DTL I was alone

Congrats! Long term I would still suggest you flare your feet.
