I appologize if this has been done before, but I have a few questions.

1. What is your best roud ever (9 and 18)?

2. What is the most you have ever gone under par at any point in a round?

3. How far into a round have you been at or below par?

Mine is as follows:

1. 37 (+2) and 81 (+11). I have shot a +2 for 9 four times.

2. -2 was the lowest I ever got. I birdied 1 and 3 to get there.

3. I only managed to stay under par through those three holes. I doubled number 4. I did par 5 and 6 so I was even through 6, before finishing w/ bogey, double and bogey for a +4 (40). I missed a 5 footer for 39 on a course that I have never broken 40 on.

Great post idea!

My answers:

1. Best 18 ever was a 76 (38-38) at Pinecroft Golf Club in Beulah, MI; best 9 was 36 (against a par of 35) at Rackham Golf Club in Detroit.

2. Never gotten it below 2-under at any given point. Something to shoot for.

3. I was once 1-under on the 8th tee. I tripled the hole (at the Vineyards in Escondido, California).

in the bag today:

Lowest round ever in competition circumstances - 62.
I do also currently hold/have held a few outright course records including:

62 - (-6) The links,Weston Runton,Norfolk,England.
64 - (-6) Brett Vale,Essex,England.
65 - (-3) Wood Valley Golf Club,Beccles,Suffolk,England.
I also still hold an amatuer course record of 67 (-5) at a local course from when i was an amatuer the first time round...

I think 7 under is as far under-par,as ive ever been at any point in a round.

My lowest ever score in competition and friendly matches for 9 holes is minus 6.One of those was a 29 on a par 35 back 9.

A friend of mine who holds the course record of 65 (-7) at Felixstowe Ferry,Suffolk,England had a short putt during this record round to go -11 after 13 holes ! He dropped a few coming in as you can see.Being a true links course though, the tough finishing stretch was right into the wind.He did also say he was just a smidgeon nervous....... !!!!!!

1. What is your best roud ever (9 and 18)?

I've had a bunch of 35s. Including two back to back at Oakmont in 1995 when I shot 70, which is my best ever round on any course at any part (obviously not counting executive courses, of which I've played, oh, three times?).

2. What is the most you have ever gone under par at any point in a round?

Two. In that 70 and several times on my home course at the beginning of the round.

3. How far into a round have you been at or below par?

18 holes.

Good questions...

1. 9 holes = 33 (-3); 18 holes = 71 (-1)
2. -4 is the lowest I've been at one point in a round
3. 18 holes

Low 9 -4
Low 18 -3
Lowest -5

My low 9 actually happened when I was 14. It was kind of like the Caddyshack scene where the Reverend was making everything(no thunderstorms though).

31-39, 1 under. I thought I would finally break 70 for the first time. I came close...thought I was going to have a short birdie putt on 18 for a shot at 68. It turned out to be a long and very tough putt and I three-putted! Doh!

That's my best round, scoring-wise, too. 31-39 at a club in Seattle -- two under. My handicap was about a 10 on that course at that time. I still have the ball on a shelf with the score and the date. It's the

only regular round that I finished under par. But my best round ever was in a charity scramble. I just pounded the driver off the tee and pounded the driver off the fairway (It was one of the PGA courses). And we had a blast doing it. Four friends just saying what the heck, fire away. It's my best round because I got two trophies (longest drive and low team net score) and I out-drove Tom Lehman on "his" hole and we took my drive over his. No idea how I would have actually scored, but I loved that day of golf and I have a nice note on my picture they took with us and Lehman saying I out-drove him, and signing it with my name. Best round ever -- that was it.

lowest ever was a 76 (par 70 course). I was 3 over for the front and back. I was even for the back until the last three holes where I made bogey consecutively. I have never done it since. I was so exited I had the people I was playing with, first time playing with them, to sign my card. I kept the card and the ball I did it with. I'm thinking of plaquing it..lol

Here is this round. I kept some of my better score cards and recently entered them in my Web site.

http://www.mygolfdomain.com/round_view.php?round=733 Notice only the 3 fairways hehe. I wasn't having a bad driving day, but was hitting from the light rough a lot. I often prefer to hit out of the light rough in this area, too. It's not very penalizing at all to be just off the fairway with most of the courses around here.
