Sorry posting from my phone seems to be more of a challenge.

Been playing for 14 years

4 handicap

Hate the hook

Been struggling with pulls and pushes

Do you have a FO video? Would love to see the weight transfers, rate of closure, etc.

I doubt you'd achieve the pressure (force) on the front leg at impact that we see from PGA Tour players, which leads to a higher ROC, which leads to some erratic start lines. The right foot staying flat so long and then the right knee action around A7 is a result of this lack of slide forward.

Check out other sections on the site. :)

I have been noticing that my right leg straightens in the backswing but never regains flex in transition.

Would you suggest working on right knee towards the left in transition or just regaining flex in transititon?

I would suggest you work on sliding your hips forward.

@Davidgolfer , looks pretty similar to the first video. It'll take some time/reps to change the picture, keep working on it. I would recommend turning the left foot out more to help.

  • 2 weeks later...
Been working on hip slide. Really starting to tell a difference. Played 3 days straight, driver is really good. I struggled with the irons until the last day. On the last day I started trying to slide more with irons like I do with the driver. It really started coming together. I'm sure it's not perfect yet but driver was long and straight maybe a little draw. Very easy and repeatable. Excited to play again.
