I have Hippo irons and some old Spalding woods. Hoping to upgrade within a few paychecks or so and slowly get a good set or a box set. I've only been playing for 4 months now but it's too cold to golf this winter. Lol

Cool. I wouldn't discount used clubs. You can get some good deals on name brand clubs, both irons and woods/hybrids.  If you have some spare time, check out GlobalGolf.com My Son and I have bought more than a few clubs from them with very good results, and they are a sponsor here. Oh and you get reward points, when you buy and or trade in clubs. All the clubs we've recieved have been in much better cond. than what they described, If you look at E-bay, make sure you buy from a online store with LOTS of good feed back, which is another option.

Thanks a lot. I'm really bad right now. In fact I've only had a hanful of shots that are passable but for some reason I like the sport and am eager to improve. Hopefully I can get good feedback from others especially those with knowledge of rules and swing techniques.
