Shaping the ball with your finish

I've been told (by multiple sources) that you can shape shots with your finish. A draw finishes with the club over your back and the handle point a little right of the target. I buy this because I usually draw the ball and finish much like this. A cut, I've been told, finishes with the left palm (right handed player) facing the target and forms a rectagle or box when viewed from behind. For the life of me I don't how you swing the club to finish in this position. Any help?

I would recommend not worrying about it much - the ball cuts because the path of the sweetspot is left of where the face is pointing, and the ball draws because the sweetspot travels farther right than the face angle at impact.

For a righty, that is.

They sometimes produce the things you're talking about above, but don't always.
