I've seen the movie and am considering reading the book. Has anybody done both? Any comments on the book vs. the movie? Is it worth spending the time on the book? Any other golf fiction anybody can recommend?

I've read the book and seen the movie. As always, the book is better. But if you've already seen the movie, it might not be worth it. I dunno.

I read the book first and then saw the movie. I believe reading the book first made the movie different for me (without giving away the concept of the book). I think it was a very interesting read and I think if you read it then watch the movie again it may have a different meaning...

Thanks, I think I will.

Hey I just noticed you live in St. Pete...I live in Brandon. I play at Bloomingdale GC. I have played a few courses over your way...Cove Cay, East Bay, etc...where do you normally play?

Well, I've just started back in the game again, but I recently played at Largo Municipal and I live 3 blocks from The Tides in Seminole. Since I am recently back in the game and last time I played I lived in Colorado, I haven't had a chance to play many courses in the area yet. I hear that Bardmoor is really nice, but expensive. I hope to play this course off East Bay in Clearwater that's tucked away in a country club soon too. I forgot what it's called though.
