I was watching a John Daly Golf Channel Academy on short game and he was showing his one handed chipping practice.

This looked to me like a great drill to get the feel down that we all look for when honing a particular swing.

Does anyone here practice this type of one armed practice? I haven't yet but think I will give it a try.

I didn't see the segment, but pitching with your trail hand only is a great way to practice the proper technique:

In his practice drills he uses his left hand. His leading hand in this case.

Ah ok, that has nothing to do with what I just posted :-)

You're welcome. :-)
Here is a link to it.
Yea, it's fine to post. Now that I've seen it, I'm not a big fan. He's using that forward shaft lean technique that exposes too much of the leading edge. If you mis-time the bottom of the arc, you'll chunk it or blade it. It's no surprise that he advocates practicing the timing of it, because there is less margin for error. Better to use the pitching technique I linked that engages the bounce of the club. It's much more forgiving.
