Golf Digest 50 money list: some surprises

Had no idea Palmer would be so high on this list, higher than Nicklaus. Thought B Watson would have more in endorsements with his 2 green jackets. The other Watson I thought would be much higher on the list based on off course earnings. Stacy Lewis places higher than Wie. Davis Love very marketable - must be dem Polo ads.

Arnie was a far better businessman than Jack.  Jack nearly went bankrupt a couple of times (and would have been put into bankruptcy if he hadn't been Jack Nicklaus)  due to terrible decisions, being taken advantage of by "friends" and foolishly signing personal guarantees.  Jack spells it all out in his 1996 autobiography.  He would probably have been at the top of that list if he hadn't gotten his nose out of joint and fired Mark McCormick, which would have protected himself from himself.

But then again, what the hell do I know?
