What happens to guys who spin out prematurely in their swings? The shoe will make it even harder to hit the ball solid, right? I'm perfectly fine with my "unnatural" motion. To me, the problem is more about flexibility in a shoe rather than it being able to spin. As long as the sides aren't so stiff that it prevents your ankle from rolling properly, I really don't see a problem. Then again, I have really flexible ankles, so maybe other people might have a problem? I know I won't be buying them.

I would also worry about durability.  My left foot spins after contact and it has never been identified as a flaw by my Evolvr instructors.

I would worry about durability as well. I don't want to be in mid swing and have that thing break.

I think if people would flare their front foot more then they would diminish the strain on their ankle in terms of torque.

Honestly I never had ankle problems from golf. I think majority of the issues happen with the left knee. Even then players like Bubba have learned to cope with that strain by letting that foot spin out even with spikes.

Another concern is how high the foot will sit off the ground and how heavy the shoe is. I walk a lot and I like light shoes. I also concern with lateral stability not stability against torque. If the foot is higher off the ground then it has a higher lever arm and can cause the ankle to roll over more often. This is why I wear TrueLink shoes. Their low profile and zero drop just give me more stability.

Yeah there are a lot simpler solutions than using a shoe like this. An extra 10 degrees of turn is as simple as flaring the lead foot out an extra 10 degrees at the start. I would still like to try one just for the novelty but I doubt I'll be seeing these on the shelves anytime soon. Spikeless is really the way to go.

Meh. Can't seem to get excited about it. Seems like a bit of an answer in search of a problem....or at least in search of a much bigger problem than might actually exist.
